In which Doug Mahnke is good at his job. I’m a fan of this drawing in general, but Batman’s tight-jawed glare at Superman for hogging all the cereal particularly kills me.

What on Earth…

thesuperdictionary:

is even going on here:

Why is the entire Justice League watching a woman sleep?

Just hanging out in her bedroom.

Watching her sleep.

Is that Lois? Or SR-12? Even if she isn’t just some anonymous woman, that only makes it a fraction less creepy.

(I bet Hal is looking at everybody else to see if they’re watching him. Because I bet Hal is gross and has a boner.)

Superman is proud of his lockpicking skills. Black Canary is fascinated by what she imagines her dreams to be. Green Arrow wishes to smell her and breathe on her. Batman and Aquaman have the same wishes. Flash is smiling because everyone else is smiling but he is a little bit confused as to what everyone is doing here. Green Lantern is happy that he has an excuse to stand in a position where he can look at Black Canary. And Hawkman?

Hawkman is about to get sexual.

You think if someone in the league needs a few more (hundred) dollars they call up Bruce?

ITS FOR THE STRIPPERS BRO

So there was a comic where Hal calls Batman to bum money for some strippers?
…
WHY HAVEN’T I READ THIS?

Legitimately, what is this from?

This racist shit with some comic book fans reminds me of what the late, great Dwayne McDuffie was talking about in this video. He is right on the money with his analysis. I know, I saw this play out in the early 90s as a hardcore comic nerd with the reactions of some white comic fans towards story arcs of black characters like Spawn, Luke Cage, Bishop and Forge to name a few. It has not changed one bit almost 20 years later. How insecure do you have to be if make believe, fantasy black people bother you?

Transcript

I really wish I could’ve met Dwayne McDuffie before he died.

Per Degaton is one of those villains we don’t really see enough of. He has a cool name, an awesome uniform and as far as villain concepts go “Time Nazi” is pretty hard to screw up. Where is this guy, DC?
