According to this, Jaime Hernandez inspired Frank Miller when creating Carrie Kelly (Robin in The Dark Knight Returns). John Bryne, encouraging the idea of a female Robin, showed Miller this drawing of Maggie from a 1982 issue of The Comics Journal.
